If you change rim and rubber types, Toyota Prius can change its temper. Originally Prius has 5 nuts to fasten the wheel and their size is 12mm*1.5". Buying new rims don’t forget the 40mm offset of 1.5i wheels. The original wheel has 6" of width and is 15" in diameter. If you buy not an original rim, choose 60.1mm of central bore and 100mm diameter of placing nuts. It’s important to remember the figure of 185/65 R15 tire dimensions if you want to renew rubbers for Toyota Prius.

  • Great stability is also achieved by 6" wide wheels and right offset of 40mm.

  • The 15" wheels seem to be quite normal for Toyota Prius.

  • 15" wheels help Toyota Prius feel safe and stable on highway.

Your new rim for Prius must be adjusted with 5 nuts and have 60.1mm central hole diameter. You’ll need some suspension changes to put not 40mm offset rims and use other than 12mm*1.5" size of nuts. It’s the best choice to purchase 15" rims made specially for Toyota 1.5i to improve safety. You’ll need more petrol for driving 1.5i if you install rims above 15" in diameter.
