Although it isn't new, the 2022 Ford F-150 is the first in a new series of F-150 pickup trucks. It's not uncommon for a new truck to retain carryover engines and transmissions from the prior generation, as this 2022 Ford F-150 XLT does with its 2.7-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V-6 10-speed automatic transmission.

The XLT, XL, Lariat, King Ranch, Raptor, Platinum, and Limited trim levels are available for the 2022 Ford F-150. The Regular Cab and SuperCab versions have a 23-gallon gasoline tank, while the SuperCrew vehicles have a 26-gallon fuel tank. Only the Raptor is an exception. Thanks to the turbocharged torque output, you can quickly tow up to 8,500 lbs. The payload capacity is 2,250 pounds. Trim options include XL, XLT, and Lariat.

3.5l EcoBoost

This powerful turbocharged V6 engine with 10-speed automated transmission produces 375 horsepower and best-in-class 470 lb.-ft. Of torque. This truck gets 17 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the motorway. You may tow up to 5,100 pounds and carry up to 3,180 pounds.

Common Problems Identified In Ford 150 2.7 EcoBoost

Carbon building up inside isn't a significant problem that requires immediate attention. Some Ford 2.7 V6 engines may run their whole lifespans without cleaned valves.

Spark plugs and ignition coils are areas where identifying common issues may not be fair. In turbo engines, the natural wear of spark plugs and ignition coils is unavoidable. The reliability of any 2.7 V6 engine is sometimes a question of luck. Unfortunately, we have no say in the matter. On the other side, 2.7 EcoBoost owners control many things. Keep the engine properly, solve problems as they emerge and make sure it's warmed up. Otherwise, it's just a question of sticking to the fundamentals, like using top-quality oil and changing it regularly.

The Ford 2.7 EcoBoost machine offers an excellent blend of power, torque, fuel economy, towing, and handling. Although the dual-turbo, direct-injection system requires additional maintenance, you won't regret it. Maintaining your 2.7L can provide you with a long-lasting and pleasurable life.

It's A Pickup, Not A Sedan
