If you are the owner of the Ford Fiesta, you may want to know what exactly you can control with the help of all those buttons and levers inside your vehicle. I've prepared the video explaining all the controls in the Ford Fiesta so that you could easily learn which button turns or on off the needed functions.
Here's the video:
Also, I want to tell you about several tricks and interesting things that you may not know about the controls in your Ford Fiesta.
Changing the settings of your turning signals
Did you know that you could change the function of your turn signals in the Ford Fiesta? In the settings, you can choose whether the blinker will blink once or three times when you give it a touch. I mean, not turn on the right or left blinker but exactly give it a touch.
In all European vehicles, the setting is standard on three blinks when you touch the stalk.
Wiper blade speed question
The frequency of front wipers is the big question in your Ford Fiesta. The ECU is set to save energy, so when you stop your vehicle and change the frequency of the wipers to the shortest interval, nothing will change - the wipers will still work with pretty long intervals. But once you start driving the interval is set according to the one you choose on the stalk.
Glitchy music equipment
Unfortunately, all types of music equipment that were used in the Ford Fiesta MK7 are pretty glitchy. The problem is that the quite big windshield lets the sun shine directly on the music system in your vehicle. This assists the system in overheating and, in the end, the system just dies or glitches heavily.
One of the ways to reset it is to turn the car off, take the key out of the ignition, then start the vehicle again. If this doesn't help, you may try resetting it by pressing the ON/OFF button and the Seek Further (arrows pointing to the right) button for more than 5-7 seconds simultaneously. If this doesn't help, you may disconnect the battery in your Fiesta and the infotainment system will be reset. If all approaches don't work, you should have the system inspected and maybe even replaced.
Very weird high beam controls
For me, the most challenging thing was to get used to the high-beam light controls. The left stalk has three positions when you pull it - not two, like most cars. The zero position, then the first position in which it blinks with the headlight and isn't fixed in it, and then the third position in which you actually turn the high beam.
For me, it was a challenge to blink to greet someone because I usually just turned on the high beam. Also, turning on and off the high beam on the highway is a real challenge in this vehicle and it takes a lot of your attention.
So, I hope I could answer all your questions about the Ford Fiesta controls. If you still have some other questions or have something to add, please write in the comments below.
