How Much Is a Trophy Truck? Let's Count Together

To buy a trophy truck is not that interesting. A much more intriguing plan is to build one. But before you start, you need to count how much you will spend in the end. And we have the answer - the capable and efficient trophy truck is going to cost around $1 million.

Such trucks should be capable to cope with any terrain. So, its power unit should be huge and powerful. And the truck itself must be durable, reliable, and relatively comfortable for a long trip.

At first, you need to choose your favorite vehicle base (Chevrolet Silverado, Ford F-150, Ram, whatever) which is going to become your dream car in the future. Then you should decide how much money you are ready to spend during the project. Some people say that a million dollars is too much money for such large-scale construction like this one. But if it's a worthy purpose, then we become blind to the price of things we want very bad.

Building a real trophy truck isn't that easy. You will need engine changes, suspension replacement, reinstallation of all components, welding of new metal parts. Before you start, make sure that your car is reliable and does not require too many repairs at the moment. Otherwise, it may be better to buy some new vehicle on which you can start your dream project immediately.

If you are lucky enough to own a great SUV or off-road vehicle - it's time for buying a backup truck. It is used during competitions when one of the trucks had broken down and waiting for help. After fixing the first truck it will go back into service, while the second truck will take its place as a support vehicle for a more efficient race experience.

You can build a custom trophy truck much cheaper if you can do many things on your own without paying money for labor at the shop. But if you want to go on the safer side, it's better to pay professionals for their work.
