My Car Is Shaking When Braking – Why?

Obviously, the problem with shaking car when braking occurs if the vehicle's brakes aren't OK. One of the reasons may be the bended brake disc. There are no chances to repair the disc in this case, you should only change it.

Also, brake pads may be the issue. If the pads are worn out completely, they will destroy the brake disc. So it's very important to examine them every time you order regular service for your vehicle. Once one of the pads is worn out, it starts braking with the metal body and this causes vibration. If you brake from the high speed with a brake pad that is worn out, you will feel vibration and you will destroy the brake disc for one or two minutes.

The car can shake when braking if there are some problems with simultaneous brake work. For example, one wheel brakes faster than other ones. In this case shaking make occur. In the winter your car may even lose track because of this reason.

If you feel shaking when you brake, this is a good signal to stop your car. Problems with brakes don't allow drivers to use their cars further. Even if the nearest service station is close enough, better find ways to get the car delivered by a tow truck or whatever. Driving with bad brakes is extremely dangerous for you and for other people on the road.
