2012 Ranger 500 EFI - Damp days, when cooler, will not run. It may try to fire and run but will be jerky, back fire, and then just quit. then will not fire, just cranks and cranks. Wait till a dry day, it will start and run fiine. It the wet damp days it messes up. Now for the weird part, it will start on those wet damp days by taking a hair dryer for about a minute on the injector/plug area. It will fimally start and run after i get it warmed up. Usually ok for the day. Then if its damps the next morning, same thing. Hair dryer it and it starts. So we replaced the injector. Ok, it did seem to run better. But next damp morning, would not runn. Hair dryer, it starts. Again, i'm only heating up the injector / plug area. i have replaces the plug several times. No change. So i do have a new plug wire to try. Do you have any other recommendations? Thank you

My husband has a 2020 Polaris Ranger 500 side by side. Since new it has always jerkrd badly when taking off. which he mentioned to the dealer. They said they do that sometimes but it has not come right. Is it possible for my husband to adjust the drive belt system and how does he do it. Would appreciate your advice.

Adjusting the drive belt is not a good idea for those who don't have good experience as a mechanic, so I would only recommend you going to the dealer or to a good shop where they can adjust everything for you. But as it's quite a new ATV, I don't think it should have problems with belt adjustment or whatever. Maybe, the riving stule should be adjusted? Also, you may go to the dealer and make them solve the issue if still under warranty.

,I have a 2004 polaris ranger, with new air filter, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel pump, drive belt, a new spark plug. the Utv still cuts off after about 15-20 mins. of driving, Any idea why?

As I read your article about the Polaris 500. As I looked to purchase one I have noticed that the polaris 500 4 by 2 has a transmission issue of not going into reverse. I look for recall info but do not find any. In my search I this is a chronic issue. Any thoughts?

Having a problem you did not mention. Turn the key starter starts to crank for 1/2 a second then loses all power to everything till you turn off the key and turn it back on. Have tested battery and checked every connection I can think of.
