Diesel cars sometimes show the black smoke from their exhaust pipes, and this will mean some technical problem of the vehicle. You will need to stop the vehicle because driving it further may cause damage to ecology. Black smoke usually means that the diesel engine burns too much fuel. It's all about fuel injection system, fuel pump, sensors or electronic systems that control the fuel mixture.

Also, the problem may occur when the EGR system. This is the unit that makes the exhaust burn once more so that the engine produced less emissions. EGR is broken in old engines and will need replacement or repair.

One more option is a broken particle filter that is installed with all diesel engines. These filters are broken when you use bad fuel often.

The cheapest possible reason of black smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe of your vehicle is bad fuel. If you tried a different gas station, you need to know that you made a bad choice.
