  • With the springs compressed, you can now remove the valves from their seats. Make sure to keep track of which valve goes into which seat, as they must be replaced in the same order. Clean any carbon buildup from the valves and seats before installing the new parts.

2. Spark Plug Replacement

Replacing the spark plug on your Ford 5.2L Predator engine is a simple task when you know the basics. All you need is a new spark plug, a wrench, and a few minutes of your time. Here's how to do it:

Ford 5.2L Predator Engine Specs

The successor to the 4.6L V8 possesses a bore of 94 mm, a stroke of 93 mm, and a compression ratio of 9.5:1.

The 5.2L Predator was specifically made for the Shelby GT500 in 2020. Overall, it produces 760 hp at 7,300 rpm and 625 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. All that power is directed to a rear-wheel drive system and distributed via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system. Being a superior engine that pulls no punches, it allows the Shelby GT500 to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and can handle a top speed of up to 180 mph before the limiter kicks in.
