To clean a car engine itself better use service station. If you wash your car engine by yourself, there is a risk that water will destroy electric wires or connections and the car won't start. We discuss that here, in our big article about oil leaks.
But if you need to clean the oil from garage or driveway, there are some good tips:
- use clay kitty litter for absorbing the liquid, also, you may use any other absorbents;
- after that take liquid dish soap and pour over the oil stain;
- give it some time to cope with the grease;
- wash the spot with clean water, repeat if needed.
Alternatively, you can try Coke. The components of Coke eat up grease and they can easily deal with oil stains. Also, you may use WD-40 lubricant, but there still will be some greasy spots after that. It's a good choice for dealing with outdoor stains on concrete floor.
